The Rights of Indigenous People

The Rights of Indigenous People are still not being respected, including peoples of Oceania affected by Climate Change and Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people still not being given respect and recognition in our nation.

Some groups are trying to make a difference.

The Pacific-Calling Partnership recently held Leadership training in Climate Change issues for two young people from Kiribati, two from Tuvalu and two Fijian Australians.

The Women’s Reconciliation Network held a Spirit Event day in Redfern on 2 nd June , with Aunty Ali and old friends and students, including some from Santa Sabina College. Andree Johnson was honoured among friends who had died.
